Real Life DramaI’m not even a mom, and I appreciate the realistic struggles the lead character is going through. Nobody is all good or all bad in this—it’s a very human approach to storytelling.

Scoot Past the Red FlagsThey’re there all right. Look, your 20s are a hot mess—don’t judge these characters too harshly.
Besides, there is a lot of fun to be had in here, as well as a healthy appreciation for the parts of sex that are just plain goofy.

Listen, It’s HotI fear I must borrow from a classic piece on The Onion for this one: “Woman Takes Short Half-Hour Break from Being a Feminist to Enjoy TV Show.”
Or, in this instance, manga.
Ghastly from a moral standpoint, and yet I’ve read every chapter.

It’s Not What It Looks LikeIs what I want to say to the imaginary person reading over my shoulder, but it’s true!
More than just another supernatural romance, this series has a little surprise and very endearing characters. The character growth is heartwarming, and it’s a good time to just have fun with it.

Simply the BestThis is one of the best titles on MangaPlaza. Complex, truly human characters; a fully realized sense of world building; effecting moments of emotional depth, as well as deeply funny comedy; meticulous and unique art work.
Light-touch genre pieces have a place in my heart for sure. This is not one of them.
Do not sleep on this memorable, nuanced, rewarding series.

The One That Started It AllWanting to read this series is what brought me to MangaPlaza in the first place, and it remains one of my favorites. I’m really excited to watch the animated version, knowing I can revisit the manga and all its funny and heartfelt moments, as well as all of the fashions!
